At the moment I’m going through my stock of photos etc., in an attempt to upload as many of the identifiable one as possible to the pastonpaper.com preview site. The whole purpose of pastonpaper.com is to link genealogists with items unavailable in archives elsewhere, the names are pretty important. But whilst doing this though, it’s hard not to want to share some of the unnamed and unidentifiable, like this group of ladies, all from Liverpool in the 1860s, in dresses that would likely cost a four figure sum today. Must’ve been a proper pain to have to get into all that clobber. Was it an everyday thing?
