Wonderful set of Carte de Visites, one by G Mabley of Sandgate, Kent relating to Mr William Henry Hunt of Newington, Kent and his wife Mary Anne Raines. In most records we can find including birth records, William Henry Hunt is referred to as Henry Hunt, so we are unsure if this is a transcription error on the images or if Henry Hunt became known as William later in life. These original photos date from the 1870s - Mary were both born in 1822 and we believe Henry was born 1811 so this photo shows a Victorian couple as they enter their late middle age. A wonderful and evocative set of images.
