Poignant single sheet Victorian mourning verse, presumably self published, composed by Samuel Harris after the death of his wife, February 1897. We have been able to verify this item as relating to Samuel Harris (1821 - 1902) and Harriet Harris nee Rugman (1826 - 1897) of Redwick, Monmouthshire.

The item has been printed on watermarked wove paper, the printing slightly on a skew as illustrated, and demonstrates some loss to the edges and most notable the lower corners. Regardless, these items would have been printed in very small quantities, making this a particularly scarce item, and perfect for framing
