"Charles Sanders ran away from his master in Henley in Arden where he was apprentised to a tailer he enlisted in the 4th foot reserved in the Peninsular war died at Chelsea hospital London June 28 1855 he enlisted under his mothers maiden name of Tallis he enlisted as John Tallis was married in that name at Colchester and again married at Aston Church Aston Birmingham in his proper name of Charles Sanders he was a son of John Sanders of Honily Warwickshire who was the last who lived at the mansion by the church for further particulars see Dougdales Warwickshire under Honily & Weston"
