Superb large 2 sheet vellum indenture, handwritten, signed and sealed and relating to the Arden Family of Holborn, London. The document describes the division of a large fortune (over £12,000 dating to 1854, worth upto £40,000,000 in 2013) and describes numerous properties held by Joseph Arden (d.1818) and Temperance Arden (nee Lunt) (d. bef 1854).
Much of the property centres on the Red Lion Square area of Holborn, as well as Stamford Hill.
