Hi, I’m doing a genealogy of the Brigham family. I am trying to find information on Addison Harvey Brigham. He was born in 1835 according to family records in Boston. I found a lot of Brighams that moved from Massachusetts to New Hampshire. However, he ran away from home at 9 yr old. It is believed by the family that he changed his date of birth to join the army. His family never gave up the search. I discovered an Aaron Brigham with a birthdate of 1835 (that would make him a year older. Would that be enough to get him into the army)? It makes sense that he might change his name. After some looking, I found a note in “The History of the Brigham Family” (Amazon) that he changed his name multiple times, 5 or 6 time.
